Pediatric Chiropractic Care
Pediatric chiropractic care uses very light, age-appropriate contact to assess and address how a child’s spine and joints move. Dr. Elise Nolte pursued additional pediatric training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, and care at our Bend office is always adapted to the child’s size and comfort.
Children are not small adults. The amount of force used for an infant is closer to the pressure you would use to test a ripe tomato than anything you might picture from an adult adjustment.
We work with families across Central Oregon whose kids are growing fast, carrying heavy backpacks, playing multiple sports, or spending more hours than anyone planned on a screen.

Know What To Expect
What your care may involve
Parent interview
We talk with you about pregnancy and birth history, milestones, activities, and what prompted the visit.

Assessment is gentle and unhurried. Kids are told what is happening before anything is done.
Light-force care
Contacts are extremely light, using fingertip pressure or a low-force instrument as appropriate for age.
Guidance at home
Practical advice on backpacks, screens, sleep, movement, and sport loading for the whole family.
Referral when appropriate
If a child needs pediatric medical evaluation, we say so and help you get there.
Our Approach To Healing
The Point Chiropractic approach
We offer a warm, welcoming environment where patients at all stages of life and their families feel comfortable. Parents stay with their child for every visit.
We describe what we find in plain language, avoid overstating what chiropractic care can do, and refer to your pediatrician when that is the right call.

FAQ’s
Have A Question?
How much force is used with a child?
Very little. Pediatric contacts are typically fingertip-light or delivered with a gentle instrument, scaled to the child's age and size.
At what age can a child be checked?
Children of any age can be evaluated, including newborns, with technique adapted accordingly.
Does chiropractic care treat childhood illnesses?
No. We address musculoskeletal concerns and movement. For illness, fever, or developmental concerns, see your pediatrician — and we will refer you.
Can I stay in the room?
Always. Parents are present for the entire visit.
