Prenatal Chiropractic Care

Prenatal chiropractic care uses gentle, pregnancy-adapted techniques and specialized positioning to help address pelvic, low back, and hip discomfort during pregnancy. Dr. Elise Nolte is Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and provides this care at our Bend office.

Pregnancy changes load, ligament laxity, and center of gravity, often quickly. Many expecting patients notice low back aching, pelvic or sacroiliac discomfort, round ligament tension, or difficulty sleeping and turning over.

Care is adapted for pregnancy throughout: supportive positioning and pillows, lighter force, and technique choices appropriate to your trimester and comfort. We coordinate with your OB, midwife, or doula and refer out when something falls outside our scope.

FAQ’s

Have A Question?

Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

Pregnancy-adapted chiropractic care is widely used and is generally considered a conservative option. We evaluate you first, adapt technique and positioning to your stage, and refer out if anything suggests care beyond our scope.

What is the Webster technique?

It is a specific chiropractic assessment and adjustment of the pelvis used in pregnancy to address sacral alignment and related muscle balance. Dr. Elise is Webster Certified through the ICPA.

When should I start care?

Patients start in every trimester. Earlier care often means more time to address discomfort before load increases.

Can I be seen after delivery?

Yes. Postpartum visits commonly address low back, pelvic, neck, and shoulder discomfort related to recovery, feeding, and carrying.
